Josh Heilaman is a mixed-media artist from Oklahoma whose style and subject matter make him one of the most exciting rising stars of 2008. He uses acrylic paints and any other medium he can put his hands on to create environments heavy with seas, forests, and whimsical creatures with existential motifs. Heilaman's work has been featured in publications and exhibitions throughout North America. His work was recently featured in a collaborative exhibition between Brooklyn Art Project and the Brooklyn Academy of Music. His paintings is loved by collectors non-conformists with an eye for breakout work.
